Earth’s Wrinkles
25 July 2022

Like wrinkles, every line tells a story. Are they scars or imperfections… or are the marks testimonies of all that came to pass, to be treasured and celebrated? What stories can they tell, the lines and dents and edges of Earth’s skin? What ae the stories of the cracks, the holes and the jagged edges? It is easy to walk past a little bit of rocks and not see all the delightful details left behind by hundreds of thousands of years of events. The world is such an abundantly rich place, full of extravagant detail, that could be missed entirely because it is everywhere and at once. For a moment, the sojourner can paus3e and take in the beauty and the wonder of one bit of detail… but there is not life or time enough to appreciate it all. So take as much in as you can – let mine eyes be gluttons – and fill my soul with as much wonder as it might bear…
