Scotland’s about to get LIT! Literature, of course. The Edinburgh International Book Festival is probably one of the BIG THREE lit fests around the world. And this year, it takes place between 14 and 30 August, just as my neighbours to the North are finally opening up from their Covid lockdowns. Loads to see and hear for kids and for adults. It’s certainly one of the big literary powwows of the year. You can check it out or get your tickets at www.edbookfest.co.uk. There will be a lot of authors – hopefully representing a diversity of views – and a workshop or two.
This year, there are over 250 online activities running alongside the live festival. Worth having a look, to be sure 🙂

Peter van der Walt is a fiction author, although you may find some non-fiction and the odd essay out there. Fans can find his newsletter, posts, updates and developments at petervanderwalt.com. Currently, he is hard at work on his next story. When not writing, he has far too many interests to reasonably keep up with. He lives with his partner in Devon, England.
