I Was Country (When Country Wasn’t Cool)
10 August 2022

A quick little scene – wheat fields in the back (there may be a wild Theresa May lurking in there somewhere), little tractor in the front, hard dirt roads and trees all around. This is the country life – and no matter where you go in the world, some things about it are pretty much the same. I see this and I want to turn up the volume, put on a cowboy hat and hit the road. Out here, my soul needs some Alan Jackson, Zac Brown, the Dixie Chicks and Lady A. I need me some Jason Aldean and Big n Rich and Montgomery Gentry and Travis Tritt and Trace Adkins and Reba and Dolly and Willie.

Difference is, now I can punctuate that with a nice afternoon tea.
