Life, Light, Love and Renewal

This would have been a photo of the Hatchling… but my city had a bad weekend. Following a very rare act of violence, many events were cancelled. This was to give people time to mourn. I have never seen this kind of response to trauma, I am not used to it. Like many where I’m from, I’ve been desensitized to the point of being callous… perhaps worse. I found myself a little baffled, at first. Then, a little freaked out. And in time, I realized: oh, yes, this is what it is like to be human. I mourn with those who mourn. The city will go on, stronger. Political issues will be handled – properly. And every soul is a light.
