Mind The Gap

What was natural, what was built? The distinction isn’t always clear. It seems to me the whole setup was created by nature and man to be inviting. I can see myself leaving the cave and slipping into the water – or jumping from the edge (will it be safe?). What I observed here was almost an optical illusion – the many details of rock and plant and ruin all seemed to be there only to make the silver water more tempting, more welcoming. Like a master artist’s use of shape to emphasize negative space… the point of all the intricacies of the land seems here to call the eye to water.
