Misty Morning Muse
7 June 2021
I like sunny days as much as the next guy. But a big part of choosing England had to do with the weather. Yup. Believe it or not, I actually prefer the misty, the foggy, the rainy, the cloudy. And I was treated to a day just like that this weekend. Many creative types actually perform better in this kind of weather (there are a handful of studies pointing to this, and enough anecdotal evidence if you look at, say, the musical output of Seattle). I’d much rather be sipping coffee and furiously typing away nestled in the slightly wet hug of mother nature than alternating between weaponized sunshine and torrential downpour. Truth is – the weather here – to me and for my aims – is perfect. Muses hide in the air. A picture of the city center on Saturday.
