One Corner Of The World
17 May 2022
Be honest: how long will you stay to look out at that view? It’s a bit of a climb, at the end of a bit of a walk, after a bit of a trip, to get here – and once at the top you are aware that you are at a holy site (as old as paganism, but now dedicated to the saints that thousands of years of Christians have called upon). This sets it all up perfectly. Then you walk around the corner and you see this – and you feel like you are looking out over the edge of the known world, as if you are at the very end of a frontier and look into unexplored waters. One hour? Two? Can any amount of time be enough? We filled up our weary souls and then continued on our journey – as fresh as we were at the start of the day.
