There’s a fair amount of convenience inherent in urban living. Get to the gym, the shops, the station… whatever… in just a few minutes walk. But then, being central to attractions isn’t everything. There’s something really nice about the opposite. We were walking along a river and around a bend, and then suddenly – out of the lush tree growth – peekaboo! A home – far away from the hustle and bustle. I’m curious who lives here. Am I jealous? Depends on my mood – the romantic part of me likes the idea of some rural isolation. The realist knows the hard work involved. And the horror stories, and thrillers, and tall tales that could take place here… Oy.
