There’s always somewhere to go – and this sign tells you how far in every direction. But given the bright flowers and the serene garden where it stands, the decision has been made not to go anywhere at all… but to stay right here. Why use this bed – alive with red, purple and green – merely as a place to put a sign post? I love the vibrancy of the red, and the delicate pink and white wildflowers growing on the ancient wall. Follow directions and carry on? No, no thanks. We’ll much rather stay right here, and let the world pass us by if it’s in such a darn hurry…
