Red Boat At River’s Low Tide

Wow. What a title to kick off the new year. Sounds like an art movie. May the tides this year bring many happy adventures to you and yours… and may the ebb and flow of things be gentler than they might have been last year. Where sea, river and land meet – the nothing fancy fun boats flock together like a grazing herd. There is magic to floating on the water – that is why people do it. There is also magic in looking at the sky. And there is magic in standing firm on dry ground. Not every moment is the same – you don’t always get to decide what kind of terrain you’re standing on. But a key trick is to enjoy the magic in that moment, whatever it may be. I hope this is an attitude I can cultivate this year.
