“Hold on Marge, it’s going to get rough!” Although, in fairness, these gulls are scarcely intimidated. I love the colour of the Cornish Sea – and on a sunny day you might as well be on a tropical island somewhere. In this visual – the reason I captured it – I liked the many levels. Solid ground peaking out in the extreme foreground… dust in the water, different tranches of ocean, the crest of a big wave and some unsettled water – and then – on top – as calm as can be – the old birds having their gossip without giving the undercurrents a second thought. May I enjoy such calm confidence when conditions beneath me shift.
