Small Towns and Big Hearts
7 June 2022

Take a trip in South Devon and there are more quaint villages and cute little towns that you can ever possibly know what to do with. Gem after gem reveals itself to us – places that go back and stretch forward, and filled with friendly people. In this picture we see an entire world – sky above, rural slope at the back, thin streets cobbling together a town, some docks to a river that leads to the sea. On Saturdays we can go in any direction and see things like this (there’s always more to see in every direction) in the time and with the resources it took to drive to the same old mall – back in the old days. This is the town of Dartmouth. Not the Ivy League American University, but the site of the Royal Naval Academy.
