Go outside the city centre and its mommy town – a place where husbands and wives raise offspring. I don’t like living in places where cars are compulsory, but I have to say that the ups and downs of the topography and the green carpet extending from hill to hill is beautiful. You can – I suppose – in theory – catch a bus. But I haven’t seen the inside of a car for close to 11 months (except for one quick excursion with a friend in London). And I love being without the damn headache. This suburb, close to Derriford, is particularly beautiful.
