Temporary Temples
3 May 2022
Look closely or you may miss it. I nearly did. Some of the rocks are stacked. There were quite a few of these. The rocks themselves are ancient – the stacks, temporal, temporary, instant, almost fickle. When they tide comes in they will be gone. When the tide goes out, someone will stack again. Like the work of lifetimes, they go up – some more impressive than others – and then nature comes in and takes her toll. This is true, this we know – and yet we build. Merely because something is temporary, doesn’t mean it has no importance or value.
