A perfect place to make a start… where the pilgrims left for America, and Australia… where great explorers circumnavigated the globe from… from where Darwin departed for his world shaking, ideology-quaking discoveries… from where Thomas Cooke went abroad… home of Raleigh and Drake and Admiral Lord Nelson… where Napoleon turned around… where the Spanish Armada met their new place in the pecking order… And a friendly, laid back, sunny city. My home town, seen from the seaside, as the first rays of the sun bask the buildings in a warm glow.
